Cheeky Ghost Quilt in a Classic Halloween Palette
Have you ever wanted to add a touch of Halloween whimsy to your kids' rooms? Well, look no further because the Cheeky Ghost quilt pattern is here to save the day (or night)! I originally designed this pattern in the fall of 2023, when I was looking to whip up a quick, easy, and cute Halloween quilt for my little goblins. We are a family of spooky season enthusiasts, so it's been really fun to gradually add handmade Halloween decor to their rooms.
What's the Story Behind the Pattern?
Picture this: a cozy autumn evening, a cup of hot cider in hand, and a not-so-spooky movie playing on the screen. Everyone cuddled under their favorite quilt. That's the scene that inspired the creation of the Cheeky Ghost quilt pattern.
Why the Riley Blake Sparkler Fabrics?
Originally stitched up in a more subdued color palette, I decided to make Cheeky Ghost 2.0 in a more classic Halloween color palette with the use of Riley Blake Sparkler fabrics. This sparkly and versatile collection strikes me as perfect for holiday patterns. They breathe new life into the pattern, giving it a more vibrant vibe that my teenager now prefers. For this quilt, I used Sparkler fabrics in Pumpkin, Ballerina, Charcoal, and Vintage White colorways. The binding and backing are from Lori Holt's Bee Gingham collection in the Lisa Autumn colorway.
