Simple Magic Quilt Featured in American Patchwork & Quilting® Magazine

There's something about autumn, but Halloween specifically, that just turns me into a sewing madwoman. Is it the nostalgia of trick-or-treating? The crisp air and the allure of spicy, cozy, warm drinks? Or just the fact that the kids are back in school (HA!)? I might never pinpoint it. But if you're like me, you might be craving an easy, charming pattern to kick off your autumn sewing. Enter the Simple Magic Quilt.

Simple Magic Quilt Pattern by Ritual Quilt Company featured in American Patchwork & Quilting Magazine
Fabrics used in the cover quilt are Art Gallery Fabrics.
You can find this pattern, along with several other beautiful fall projects, in the current August 2024 issue of American Patchwork and Quilting. This pattern definitely isn't limited to Halloween; the magazine does a wonderful job of showcasing the pattern in various colorways for different seasons, including an example showcasing Riley Blake Designs Christmas fabrics. Pick up a copy for all the details!

This pattern is playful and features 9-patch blocks and sawtooth stars... and you want to know a secret? It's known as the Witch's Charms pattern at my house. My husband saw the quilt and immediately called it that. Although our entire household affectionately refers to it as Witch's Charms, the pattern name didn't make the final cut. I laugh every time I think about it. Who knows, maybe next fall there will be a real Witch's Charms pattern!
